Wells Fargo Glasgow Branch Manager Ashley Walker presents a $1,000 check to SODE executive director Ann Grunert.

Special Olympics Delaware was the recipient of a $1,000 grant from the Wells Fargo 2017 Community Connections program.

"At Wells Fargo, we know that small acts can yield huge results and we are committed to supporting programs and organizations that we believe are important to the future of our communities," said Ashley Walker, Glasgow branch manager. "So we are proud to support Special Olympics Delaware with this grant."

This year, Wells Fargo will award more than $300,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations and schools throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. Locally, Wells Fargo sponsors the softball venue at Summer Games, with employees providing the volunteer people-power at the venue.

"We are proud to have Wells Fargo involved with our organization," SODE executive director Ann Grunert said. "The resources they provide us through their financial sponsorship coupled with the excitement their employees bring as volunteers at our two-day event enable us to provide our softball teams with a first-class tournament atmosphere."
