Delaware Memorial Bridge Run to Acceptance for Special Olympics
Register by midnight on September 17 to guarantee your shirt on event day.
If you register between Monday, Sept. 18 and Tuesday, Sept. 26, your shirt will be mailed post-event.
THERE IS NO DAY OF REGISTRATION. (Last day to register is Sept. 26)
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE: This event is only open to active or retired first responders ages 18 and older who fall into the following categories: law enforcement, fire, EMS/Medical, and military personnel. Specific details may be found by clicking on the "Am I Eligible to Participate" link.
Date: Sunday, October 1, 2017
Run Start Time: 7:00 a.m.
Location: Delaware Memorial Bridge New Jersey-bound Span. (Participants will park at and be bused from the Veteran's Memorial Park on the Delaware side of the bridge to the starting line on the New Jersey side.)
Distance: 5k (3.1 miles); chip-timed event (NOTE: The bridge will be cleared of all runners by 8:00am.)
Entry fee: $100 (online fundraising available)
Due to time constraints, transportation, logistics, and general coordination required on race day, there will be NO packet pick-up available on race day.
You are required to pick up your race packet at one of the following packet pick-up times/locations:
- Friday, Sept. 29, 11:00am-1:00pm and 5:00-7:00pm at the New Castle County Police Department
- Saturday, Sept. 30, 8:00-11:00am and 6:00-9:00pm at the New Castle County Police Department

Each participant must pick up his or her own race packet. A spouse, parent, or any other party will not be able to pick up a race packet for someone else.
