Team Volunteer Orientation


PLEASE READ BEFORE beginning the Team Volunteer Orientation online training: Please be sure that you are logged into the SODE website as yourself using the username and password you created.
At the top of the screen you will see a "logged-in as" icon. If it is not you, log out and log in using the username and password you created (or if you have not created one, do so).
Otherwise the person who is logged in, if not you, will get credit for completing the training. 

 

Thank you for taking the initiative to volunteer for Special Olympics. It is the driving efforts of our families and volunteers that have made us one of the most respected sports programs in the world.

The objective of this orientation is to provide the information necessary for our volunteers to properly and successfully assist Special Olympics athletes. It will focus on the overall organization of Special Olympics, as well as those duties specific to Team Volunteers.

Please note that following the orientation there will be a short 20-question quiz.

 

The process to become a Team Volunteer

After completing the online training (including the quiz), you will have satisfied 1 of 3 steps needed to become a Team Volunteer. In addition to this orientation, the following is required, some or all of which you may have already completed:
