Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of the Special Olympics movement.

There are volunteer opportunities ranging from event management and coaching to fundraising and volunteering on the day of an event.

Are you a new volunteer who is not sure about all of the volunteer opportunities we offer or what they might entail? Please fill out our online Volunteer Interest Form and someone will follow up with you.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for people of all ages, but if one of them does not fit your needs (or you do not fit the requirements), we encourage you to come out and be a fan in the stands, hoping that in the future you will become part of one of the strongest volunteer movements in the world.

Note: All coaches and team volunteers must complete the volunteer requirements before participating in any SODE-sanctioned event, including practices and competitions. ... Day-of/Class B event volunteers will be notified of the requirements after receiving their assignment.

If you have been directed here to sign up as a volunteer for Summer Games on June 7 or 8 and have a group name and password, please click here. If you are interested in volunteering but do not have a password, please contact Mark Wise at mwise@udel.edu.
