Polar Bear Plunge
The Bear Essentials
The registration process is simple! Bring at least $50, or at least $40 if you pre-registered… you'll receive a wristband, which will get you into the Apres Plunge party at the Baycenter in addition to discounts from area businesses; your event sweatshirt (if you preregistered); a set of hand warmers; ; directions for post plunge showers (Sussex Family YMCA) and the Apres Plunge Party. Plus any last minute instructions!
Saturday Evening - February 2nd
If you want to beat the crowds, you can register the night before at Crabber’s Cove in Dewey Beach (across the parking lot from the Rusty Rudder). Registration will open at 5:00pm - adn remaon open until 9:00pm.
Sunday Evening - February 3rd
On the day of the Plunge registration will open at 10 a.m. under a 40’x40’ tent at the base of Wilmington Avenue and the Boardwalk. Get there early to make sure you complete registration in time for the Plunge! We recommend you arrive in Rehoboth no later than 11:30am; parking can be a challenge - so the earlier the better!
Apres Plunge Party
Wilmington Trust invites everyone to the best party in town - the Apres Plunge Party. Hosted by the Baycenter, the Apres Plunge Party features Nicola’s pizza and chili, great big cookies, a cash bar and the toe-tapping sounds of Greg Mack and his Polar Bear Band! So... after the Plunge... dry off and hurry over to the best party in town! As before... Polar Bears get into the party for free... all friends, family and relations over the age of 10 will be charged $5 at the door.
