History and Facts
- Delaware has been attending Maryland's Winter Games since 2006. Prior to that the winter ski team competed in New Jersey during the late 1990s and early 2000s, and Pennsylvania before that.
- In 2007, over 23,000 athletes competed in snowshoeing, 41,000 in Nordic skiing, and 20,000 in alpine skiing worldwide.
- Prior to competing, all three winter teams traing for several weeks on snow and through dryland training exercises.
