Skiing, Cross-country

Cross-country skiing is a winter sport that promotes superior physical conditioning while providing enjoyment for athletes of all ages. More than 41,000 participate around the world. In Delaware, skiers train at Brandywine Creek State Park.

Athletes compete at the Winter Games of one of our neighboring states.

 

Winter Games travel itinerary

Date of departure: Sunday January 29, 2017
Departure location: SODE office at UD Sports Complex
Departure time: 11:00 a.m. 
Destination: Seven Springs resort, 777 Waterwheel Drive, Champion, PA 15622

There will be light snacks on the bus. People traveling on the bus should have a very late breakfast or early lunch.  Lunch will not be served on the bus.

Dinner will be served at the resort at 5:00 p.m.

Return: Tuesday January 31st - Approximate arrival time at SODE office is 8:30 p.m.

  • 50-meter Cross-Country Skiing Race - Classical Technique
  • 100-meter Cross-Country Skiing Race - Classical Technique
  • 500-meter Cross-Country Skiing Race
  • 1k Cross-Country Skiing Race
  • 3x500-meter Cross-Country Skiing Relay
