For the past several years the SODE Winter teams -- Alpine / Nordic skiing and Snowshoeing --have participated at the Special Olympics Maryland winter games.
However, this year SOMD is not offering Nordic skiing at its winter games and is reducing the alpine and snowshoeing competition to one day.
In order to keep our winter teams together and to give the athletes optimum opportunities to compete, the SODE winter sports teams are attending the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Winter games on February 12 - 14, in Johnstown, Pa.
We are in the early stages of getting information about these new games and will post updates here when we have them.
