Dover Skating Center hosts the annual Roller Skating Competition, pitting athletes of all abilities against each other in a variety of races.

• Students from Caravel Academy (Bear, Del.) serve as volunteers for this event.
• Roller Skating is one of SODE's original sports.
• In 2007, over 41,000 athletes participated in roller skating worldwide.
