Delaware Law Enforcement Torch Run
Each year Delaware Law Enforcement selects one of its officers as its
Torch Runner of the Year. The officer selected is a consummate volunteer
and a diplomat for Special Olympics. One of the honors and privileges
of being named ‘Torch Runner of the Year’ is that the recipient
delivers the Flame of Hope to the Special Olympics Delaware Athlete of
the Year during Summer Games Opening Ceremonies.
