Empowerment Conference
“Voices and Choices”
is a day of empowerment for Special Olympic athletes, ages 13 through adult, and their family members, friends, and/or caregivers. The Conference, held in early November at the University of Delaware's Clayton Hall in Newark, offers interactive sessions for athletes which promote building self confidence, achieving independence, and using the voice within to speak up and express choices.
The family & friends sessions will feature professionals who will share their experience in helping family members and extended family members on the journey of loving and caring for an adult or a teen approaching adulthood. All athletes are invited to participate and encouraged to come with a friend or family member. All will be enlightened...
