Team Volunteer
Team Volunteers work within our local programs and complete administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach or Program Director as well as assist the team as an event chaperone. Team Volunteers enable Special Olympics to offer sports training and competition and provide our athletes with the opportunity to grow and showcase their skills.
On-line Training
The objective of this orientation is to provide the information necessary for our volunteers to properly and successfully assist Special Olympics athletes. It will focus on the overall organization of Special Olympics, as well as those duties specific to Team Volunteers. Only those who are going to be a Class A volunteer need to take this online training. If people are new to Special Olympics they should attend a General Orientation. For dates, times and locations of upcoming General Orientations, contact Mark Wise, Director of Training and Volunteer Management, at 302-831-4669 or mwise@udel.edu
The process of becoming a Team Volunteer
