Delaware's own Dana Herbert, the original Next Great Baker, returns for the second annual Polar Bear Cake-Off. He will be joined by five bakers from last year's inaugural season of the show and two bakers from the second season.
At the Cake-Off, which is sponsored by Appletree Answers, contestants are split into two teams and show off their creative talents -- while trying to keep in check their competitive spirits -- as they vie to see who can make the best Polar Bear Cake.
The event is supported by CK Products, Delaware Inn, DosLocos Restaurant, Fondarific, Lighthouse Inn, Nash Omniscaping, and the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
Additional support provided by Browseabout Books, Fisher's Popcorn, Freely Simple Bakery, Nicola Pizza, Pepper's, and Ryan's Skim-Skate-Surf Beach Store.
Saturday, Feb. 4, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
The public is invited and admission is free. Spectators will be given an opportunity to vote for their favorite cake for a $1 donation to Special Olympics Delaware, and judges will take the public’s vote into consideration before rendering a final decision.
