Wilmington, Del. – Joe’s Crab Shack restaurants along the eastern seaboard from Pennsylvania to South Carolina will partner with law enforcement agencies to host Tip-a-Cop fundraisers on Thursday,
September 23 to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics programs.
Tip-a-Cop events are official Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics fundraisers. During a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser, law enforcement officers and department personnel volunteer their time as “celebrity
waiters” to collect tips at Joe’s Crab Shack restaurants to support Special Olympics.
Here in Delaware, the Tip-a-Cop event will take place from 11am-2pm and 6pm-9pm. Officers from Wilmington Police Department will serve as celebrity waiters and waitresses, and Special Olympics
athletes will also attend as greeters.
