We use people-first language. Two examples: (1) refer to individuals, persons or people with intellectual disabilities, rather than intellectually disabled people or the intellectually disabled, and (2) people have intellectual disabilities, rather than are suffering from, afflicted with or a victim of intellectual disabilities.
All working members of the media with a company credential are asked to check in at the Information Tent/Table upon arrival at the event so that we can provide you with anything you might need for your coverage. Any other photographer, writer or videographer, who does not have an official working media credential, should contact Jon Buzby prior to the event to make arrangements to receive appropriate credentials.
Press kits for all events will be available at the event. If you'd like to receive a press kit prior to an event, please contact Jon Buzby.
